Pasión de arte
Desde su infancia Damián Esell se interesó por el arte. Pintura, dibujo, canto, piano, video, fueron los espacios donde incursionó hasta que finalmente el tango arrasó y se convirtió en pasión y medio de vida. Sus primeros maestros fueron Eduardo Sotelo, y Mabel Caraballo, Sergio Salcedo y Miguel Copini, quienes lo estimularon para continuar más seriamente. Hoy, junto con su compañera en danza y vida Nancy Louzán, da clases los jueves en el Salón Canning para principiantes e intermedios y los sábados para avanzados.
Las clases se organizan con un criterio pedagógico. Comienzan con ejercicios técnicos individuales y luego en pareja, construyendo pequeñas estructuras que culminan formando parte de una gran figura. Los alumnos, de todas las edades, aprenden, se divierten, piensan y reflexionan el baile y el tango.• –Lisandro Gambarotta

Passion for the arts
Since childhood Damián Esell was interested in the arts. Painting, drawing, singing, piano, video, were the spaces he inhabited until finally tango overwhelmed everything else and became a passion and a way to earn his living. His first teachers were Eduardo Sotelo, and Mabel Caraballo, Sergio Salcedo and Miguel Copini, who encouraged him to dedicate himself to it. Today, along with his partner in dance and in life Nancy Louzán, he teaches at Salón Canning beginner and intermediate classes on Thursdays, and on Saturdays he gives advanced classes.
The classes are organized with a pedagogical principle. They begin with individual technical exercises and then with a partner, building small structures that end up forming part of a long figure. The students, of all ages, learn, have fun, think and reflect on dancing and tango.• LG
